I am currently working on a fiend deck that probably needs some extreme reconstruction, would like ideas on what to get rid of and what i should get,

Make it to a 40 card deck.

That will be a very good starting point.

Just take out the cards you don't like, or things that don't look pretty.

I wouldn't do the yubel thing, hard to successfully get out.

dark highlander, dark ruler ha des and dark armded dragon are good choices. Try and get 3 battle faders, you can get supers for 5 ea I think, and also try get 2 more cauis the shadow monarch, he'd probably be pretty key in your fiend deck, easy + 1. The battle faders will give you easy fodder for them and ha des, ha des powns graveyard effect monsters like treeborn frog and dandylion etc, as they lose their effect in the grave. I'll have to have a look into fiends though, see if there's anything else that you could use.

If i get dark highlander im gonna need to get some tuners
i had a look at fiend tuners and my options are

trap eater (dont fully understand his effect, do i special summon him by using mst or something on a trap card)
sinister sprocket
dark resonator
flare resonator
infernity avenger

had a quick look see, and thought you could go for a lock down fiend deck maybe? using cards like vanity's fiend, 1 tribrute and no one can special summon. And if all cards in your deck are fiends maybe run solidarity?

here's some decent fiends cards:

Card guard - seems okay, 1900 beater that protects itself.
Doomcaliber Knight - awesome card, just got reprint in gold so not too expensive
Vanity's fiend - no special summons, which is pretty cool.
Stygian Security - Decent fiend tuner
Fires of doomsday - not the best card but could help you get out your big monsters
Escape from different dimension - Problem is you need removed from play monsters so it's not dead draw.
Veil of darkness - maybe?
Phantom Skyblaster - tribute fodder
Royal opression - Awesome
Solemn Judgment - Staple
Pot of Duality - get the reprint
Safe Zone - cool trap card, can protect your big monsters, and if you chain it to their cards you can make them waste cards. You can also activate it on their monsters, so if they target to destroy your face down safe zone, activate it targeting a monster they control and both cards get destroyed.

Staples you should run:

-Mystical space typhoon x 2
-Monster Reborn
-Dark Hole
-Mirror Force
-Bottomless Trap hole x 2
-Book of Moon
-Solemn Judgment
-Giant Trunade

Don't run trap eater, how he works is your opponent must have a face-up trap card on their side of the field, you send it to the grave to special summon trap eater. Problem is he will sit in your hand most of the game.

I'd say go with Infernity avenger, Dark resonator or stygian security. Problem with stygian is you can draw more than one. Dark Resonator would get out Highlander easier.

these r ur key tribs u should keep, dump the rest otherwise ur running 2 many and u'll dead draw them

okay how about i get rid of helpoemer, great maju garzett and one necrofear and add royal oppression, maybe another solidarity or another infernity avenger or stygian security. I got stygian street patrol and reamination wave in my booster pack on saturday which i thought were pretty cool too

Oh yea forgot about street patrol, he's good, run him. but don't run reanimation wave, as it's too situational, when choosing a card to put in your deck there's a few things you should do. There's utility, being the immediate usefulness of a card, and then there's combo cards that require other cards to make them useful. But you can also get cards that have both. Reanimation wave will clog your hand and I'd be surprised if you managed to pull it off, because it relies on your opponent attacking you then you also have to have a synchro monster in the graveyard. Street patrol is a combo card, but you can also just summon him and attack etc.

dont put the dark necrofears, they are pretty useless in your deck. it allows for good control play in the long run but for explosive plays againts tengu plants, six sams its not gonna do anything much. forget about darklord zerato, its a good card but very hard to pull off accordingly. add necro gardna, it will allow for better control of your graveyard to pull of dark armed dragon. like mike said, get street patrol, its an awesome card for fiend monsters.

p.s. if you really like fiend decks, wait till october 18, a structure deck based on fiend will be available, get 3 of them! trust me they are pretty awesome.
